Advances in neurology, pharmacology, biology, and a host of other fields threaten our freedom, agency, and individuality. Science fiction is quickly becoming science fact. The brain and the mind are no longer untouchable by our current knowledge and abilities. In order to stave off an even more dystopian future, as seen in some science fiction, we will need a more fundamental right which protects us from the worst abuses. That right is called cognitive liberty, and I will tell you all about it.
